My Story

My journey started in 2017 after having my youngest son. About 6 months after he was born I started experiencing migraines, gaining weight, having numbness and tingling in my hands and feet.

It got to the point that I couldn’t hold a cup because I couldn’t grip things. I went to my primary care doctor with all my symptoms and he told me he thought I had MS or a brain tumor. We ran tests and all came back normal. I then went to a neurologist and he gave me pain meds and said I had carpal tunnel so I could do surgery or just deal. I wanted relief so I had surgery.

A few months later I had ankle surgery from a past injury that wasn’t getting better. A few months later I had bladder surgery because I was becoming incontinent. I was 32 with 3 kids and I was falling apart. In 2018 I was diagnosed with over 10 food sensitivities and went on a strict gluten, diary, sugar and corn free diet. It was very hard and I wondered if it would be worth it. In February 2019 I was diagnosed with Lyme disease, candida overgrowth, mycoplasma, HSV, and a few coinfections with Lyme. In may 2019 I started 2 Oral antibiotics and 2 IV antibiotics, then meds to control the side effects of the antibiotics.

I felt like I was getting worse, not better. Always tired and in bed. No energy to care for myself or my family. In October 2019 I decided to try plexus. I had nothing to lose at this point. By thanksgiving I had energy and even went sledding and ran 2 miles in the same day and wasn’t stuck in bed for days after. By Jan 2020 I was off all antibiotics and prescription meds. My candida was down, mycoplasma was getting better. February 2020 I was showing CDC positive for Lyme but my body was fighting it.

My immune system was firing like it should. My hormones were still low and not working great but had hope they would improve. This is getting long so fast forward to now. I have maybe 2 migraines a month, I no longer have a port in my chest, I have all day energy and can exercise 5-6 days a week. I can show up like the mom and wife I want to.

I thought I was going to be sick forever and not have a great life with my kids and they would just know me as a sick mom. I am so grateful for plexus!!

2024 updates

I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a migraine. I’ve done five races this year and feeling great. I’ve had had a few flareups with joint pain and fatigue, but they are well managed. I’m so grateful that I found these products and community along with them. I’m grateful that I’m not going to be sick forever and I’m able to show up as the mom and wife that I want to . I also love to go on adventures with my kids and family.
